Education. Francisco Airton Silva received a B.S. degree in Information Systems from the Instituto Federal do Piauí (IFPI) in 2008, and an M.S. degree (2013) and a Ph.D. degree (2017) in Computer Science from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE).
Academic and Professional Experience. He is currently a Professor of Information Systems at the Universidade Federal do Piauí (UFPI), Brazil. In 2015, he studied at Sapienza Università di Roma. He has collaborated with multinational technology companies such as EMC and OKI. He coordinates the PASID Lab and supervises M.Sc. and Ph.D. students.
Research Interests. His research interests include distributed systems, with an emphasis on cloud–fog–edge integration, mobile computing, and performance evaluation techniques.
